PRESIDENT
Amy joined her husband, Tim, at Hopkins Architects in April, 2019 as the Director of Interiors. She brings with her 13 years of interior design experience as the owner operator of Hopkins Designs. Her experience includes the renovation and complete redesign of three downtown buildings (The Market at 76067, Coffee and Cocktails and The Flower Shop) and the interior design and furniture and fixture selections for the historic rehabilitation of the Crazy Water Hotel in her hometown of Mineral Wells, TX where she has lived and raised her three children since 2001. Before entering the design business, Amy worked as a Visual Merchandising manager for Foley's and Dillard's. She has used that expertise to merchandise and help curate items for The Market at 76067. Over the past year and half we have been immersed in Historic Restorations, Commercial, Government and High-end residential projects, that caused the restructuring of our company. On August 10, 2020 she became President of Standing Stone Architectural Consultants, LLC and the expansion of consulting services to include Door and Electronic Hardware coordination, interior decorating and visual merchandising.
VICE PRESIDENT/ SECRETARY
After the restructuring pf the company on August 10, 2020 Tim became Vice President/ Secretary of Standing Stone Architectural Consultants, LLC and Principal Architect for Hopkins Architects. Tim Hopkins is a 1989 (class of '88) graduate of Texas A&M University, Registered Architect (Texas and Maryland) and a Registered Interior Designer (Texas) with over 30 years of experience in the architecture field. His philosophy is based on the belief that design should have a simple, understated elegance, with form being driven by functionality, to provide a timeless built environment. During his career, Tim has made several long lasting relationships with his clients, earning their trust, through understanding the importance of integrity, listening and collaboration (and on occasion marriage counseling). Tim has passion for the revitalization of his community, his hometown and where he and his wife Amy reared their 3 children, Mineral Wells, Texas. This passion lead to the current project, the historic rehabilitation of the Crazy Water Hotel. Other community projects include renovations to buildings in the downtown area, County Annex at Poston's Dry Goods, design concept for 281/ 180 entry to The Market at 76067 & Coffee and Cocktails, the Medal of Honor Memorial at Fort Wolters and several custom homes. From 2015-2019 worked as an Associate Principal for Huckabee, the top Texas architectural firm for K-12 public school districts. From 2006 - 2015 worked for HKS as a Project Architect and Construction Administration on healthcare projects in Texas, Nevada, and Florida. His early architectural career , 1989-2006, was in high-end custom residential, small to medium size hospitality, and corporate space planning projects. Tim was a Certified Texas Healthcare Trustee and served on the Palo Pinto General Hospital Board of Trustees from 2009 to 2015, serving as Secretary/ Treasurer and ending his time as Board Vice President.
